The Pirate Castle - Holiday Schemes

Pirate Castle School Holiday Schemes

Have fun, get active and make a splash with us during the school holidays from spring half-term to autumn half-term, with activities including canoeing, kayaking, canal boating, games, expeditions and more!

• Have fun exploring the waterways
• Develop skills on the water with British Canoeing coaches
• Learn to steer our canal boats and help work the locks
• Plus lots more at Camden's adventure castle!

Our fun, communal sessions help develop physical, technical and social skills, boost self-confidence and are a great way to let off steam! Each day includes 2 x 2-hour sessions of water and/or land-based activities, with lunch in our canal-side Club Room (or on location, depending upon activities).

Our Holiday Schemes also give youngsters the chance to achieve a range of formal and informal accreditations, reflecting their experiences with us. These are great for boosting motivation and self-confidence as skills develop, as well as laying foundations for onward progression in paddlesport and community canal boating:

  • British Canoeing Paddle Awards (Start, Discover & Explore) and Personal Performance Awards
  • Complete Crew Course and Boat Handling Course (14 years +); ‘Junior Skipper’ Course
